Gate Valves & Pumps for Canal and Field Irrigation

An irrigation scheme is a chain: a sluice gate sets what leaves the canal, a pump station lifts the water into the pipe network, hydraulic valves hold branch pressure and flow, air valves protect the buried line at its high points, and a check valve stops backflow at every pump. This page sorts the range along that path — isolation at the headworks and in the network, pressure and flow control at the offtake, and the pumps that move the water. Sizes and ratings are read from the product data, and each card opens the full parameter tables of that product.

Irrigation & Booster Pumps

Read from End Suction Pump (IS) — IS · DN50 – DN125 · ISO 2858

CasingCast iron (IS build)
Chemical BuildStainless wetted parts (IH build) — quoted on request
Performance DataEfficiency, shaft power and NPSHr stated per model in the printed performance table

Standards / data basis: ISO 2858 dimensions and performance · ISO 2858 — dimensions and performance

Series ranges are for preliminary selection; the final model is chosen against the duty point on the printed performance table.

What we need to quote

A pump or a lined valve is quoted against the duty point, not off a catalogue page. Send these and the reply is a model with its curve, not a range.

  1. 01Design flow (m³/h) and head (m) at the pump station, and the area the network has to serve
  2. 02Canal or pipe size and route — the branch sizes decide the valve bores and where air valves sit
  3. 03Water quality — sand and silt decide between resilient, metal seated and lined internals
  4. 04Control — manual, electric actuator for SCADA, float or pressure pilot, and whether access must be locked
