This is the general OS&Y build: a rising-stem resilient-seated gate valve made to whichever of GB, BS5163, DIN F4 or AWWA the project names, quoted once the standard is fixed. Ductile iron QT450, fusion-bonded epoxy, EPDM wedge, PN10/16, DN40–DN600. Above ground, the rising stem is the reason to take it — position is visible and a closed valve cannot be argued about. If the enquiry does not name a standard, say which market the valve is for and the standard follows; a valve built to the wrong one will not fit the flanges on site.
