The metal-seated version of the F4: a copper-alloy-faced wedge running against a bronze-faced body seat, so the valve survives what destroys a rubber seat — hot water, light steam, grit, and the temperature swings of a heating network. The trade is sealing: metal on metal is not bubble-tight, it is tight enough for a heating main and not for a potable line where leakage is measured. Up to about 120 °C, DN50–DN300, non-rising stem, PN16. Specify it when the medium is not clean water; for clean water the EPDM version lasts longer and seals better.
