A Q235 flap fully vulcanised in EPDM: there is no hinge pin, no guide and no metal seat to scale, so sewage, storm water and anything carrying rags passes without jamming the valve open. That is the whole reason it exists — on wastewater duty a metal-seated check fouls and stays open, and the pump runs backwards every time it stops. It needs a few tenths of a bar of back pressure to seat and it is not a high-pressure valve; DN50–DN400, flanged, for gravity and pump discharge lines in drainage.
