A vertical multistage pump stacks impellers on one shaft inside a clamped barrel, with suction and discharge on the same centre line at the bottom so the pump drops straight into a rising main and needs almost no floor space. CDL is all stainless for clean liquid, CDLF stainless wetted parts in 304 or 316L. Fourteen sizes from CDL1 to CDL150: 1–150 m³/h rated, head 20–300 m, 0.37–75 kW, 16–33 bar, −15 to 120 °C. It is not self-priming and it needs its NPSH — a vertical stack on a suction lift is the usual way these are misapplied.

Head from stages, not from a bigger casing
This pump gets its head by stacking impellers on one shaft inside a pressure barrel, so a tall thin unit delivers what a much larger single-stage pump would. Suction and discharge sit on the same centre line at the bottom, which is what lets the pump drop straight into a rising main without elbows or a base frame.
Two builds sit under one series: CDL in all stainless for non-corrosive liquid, and CDLF with wetted parts in 304 or 316L for lightly corrosive liquid. Working pressure is published per size between 16 and 33 bar, and temperature runs −15 to +120 °C — both are size-dependent, so the model number is not enough on its own to confirm them.
Flow picks the size, head picks the number of stages
The series is published in 14 flow sizes from CDL1 to CDL150, covering 1 to 150 m³/h rated (0.4 to 180 m³/h working) and 20 to 300 m of head with motors from 0.37 to 75 kW. The model designation carries both choices: flow, then stages and impeller trim.
So the enquiry needs the duty flow and head, the medium and its temperature, and the connection the pipework will take — DIN flange, threaded flange, compression coupling or clamp, per size. Add whether the installation needs the dry-run, phase-loss and overload protector, because that is a separate item and not part of the pump.
