The 100X holds a tank level with a float that only signals: the float sits in the tank, the main valve sits in the chamber, and a small pilot line between them does the work. That separation is why it is used on reservoirs and elevated tanks where nobody wants to run a mechanism up a ladder. Two limits decide it. The float line has to be filtered, because a blocked pilot leaves the valve open and the tank overflowing; and the main valve needs enough inlet pressure to seat against the tank head, which on a low-pressure gravity feed it may not have.
