Single stage, single suction, cantilevered horizontal pump with a wide casing and large through-passages, for strongly abrasive material whose particles are too large to pass an ordinary slurry pump. The discharge branch can be rotated to any position through 360°, so the pipe run can leave the pump in whatever direction the plant layout allows. Cavitation performance and abrasion resistance are the two design drivers; the wetted parts are hard metal only. Outlet DN100–DN400, flow 60–4,000 m³/h, head 10–60 m. Typical work is dredging, sand and gravel washing, and coarse tailings.

Dredging and sand mining Gravel washing plants Coarse tailings Material too large for a slurry pump
Built for the solids an ordinary slurry pump cannot pass
KSG is a single-stage, single-suction, cantilevered horizontal pump with the wide passages needed for strongly abrasive material whose particles are too large for a normal slurry pump. That size limit, not the head, is what usually puts this pump in the line.
A discharge branch that turns through 360 degrees
The outlet direction can be set to any position through a full turn, which lets the pipe run leave in whatever direction the plant layout allows and shortens the discharge line.
Cavitation behaviour matters more than usual here: with large particles the suction side is where the pump first complains, so the available NPSH and the suction pipe layout belong in the enquiry.
