The ZKPZ43 is the heavy-duty version of the slurry knife gate, built for the extreme end of the duty range: high solids concentration, coarse particles and strong scouring. Compared with the standard slurry valve it carries a thicker body, a reinforced gate and a harder-wearing rubber seat, so it holds up where impact and abrasion wear ordinary gates through. Both seats are moulded rubber, self-sealing under line pressure and bi-directional; the two-piece body is machined to eliminate the packing gap, the gate runs in machined guides, and the recessed bottom cover allows flushing. Sizes DN50–DN1000, PN10 / PN16 / PN25 / PN40 or 150LB / 300LB, working pressure 10 / 20 / 40 bar, −29 to 150 °C, media up to 65 % solids.

Higher ratings, thicker sections, different materials
The heavy slurry build is the same knife gate principle at higher line ratings and larger sizes, with body and gate material upgraded as the rating climbs — carbon steel for the lower ratings, stainless and alloy grades where the medium demands it.
The higher the rating, the more the operator becomes a selection issue: above the sizes where a handwheel can be turned comfortably, a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder with a support frame is the normal arrangement.
What decides the build
Line rating, size, solids size and concentration, and how often the valve cycles. A valve that cycles once a shift and a valve that cycles every few minutes are not the same specification even at the same rating.
