Submersible Sewage Pump (WQ / QW)

Industrial valves and fittings dispatch fast — wear parts and complete machines quoted on request.

Sewage & Wastewater Pumps

Single-casing non-clog pumps for sewage, fibrous wastewater and solids-bearing process water, with open, semi-open, closed or free-flow impellers. Images are representative renderings of each series; finish, accessories and nameplate follow the confirmed drawing.

Need the right pump for your duty point?

Send the medium, flow rate Q, head H and liquid temperature. We return a selection proposal against the manufacturer's curve, the datasheet, a dimensional drawing, and a quotation with deviations listed against your specification.

A submersible sewage pump sits in the wet well and lifts straight into the rising main, so there is no pump house, no suction pipe and nothing to prime. The impeller is single or double vane with a wide throughlet, so rags pass instead of wrapping; the shaft has a double mechanical seal in its own oil chamber with a water-sensing probe that trips the pump if the seal leaks. Fixed sets ride twin guide rails onto an auto-coupling, so the pump is lifted out for service without anyone entering the sump. DN25–600, 8–5,400 m³/h, 6–60 m, 0.75–280 kW, ≤60 °C, density to 1.3.

What a submersible buys, and what it asks in return

Putting the motor under the liquid removes three things at once: the pump house, the suction pipe and the priming step. The pump sits on the floor of the wet well and lifts straight into the rising main, so the station is a chamber with two guide rails rather than a building with a dry well. That is the reason this type is standard on sewage and stormwater stations where the water arrives by gravity and the level varies.

What it asks in return is that everything protecting the motor has to work without being looked at. The shaft seal is a double mechanical seal in its own oil chamber, a probe in that chamber trips the pump if water reaches the oil, and a thermal element sits in the stator. Servicing happens by lifting the pump up the guide rails on its automatic coupling — no one enters the well.

The five answers that fix the model

Flow, head and the static lift decide the hydraulic size. The medium then decides the build: solids and fibres point to the single or double vane non-clog impeller, while pH decides the material — cast iron is published for pH 5 to 9, and stainless is the option beyond that. Temperature and density matter more than they look: the range is given to 60 °C at a density of 1 to 1.3 kg/dm³, and a heavier liquid raises the shaft power for the same flow and head.

The last answer is the installation: fixed on twin guide rails with an automatic coupling, or portable with a hose. That choice sets the discharge connection, the cable length and whether a lifting chain is supplied. Send those five and the model follows from the published curve rather than from the series range.
