This group is the parts that are not in a crusher chamber but wear just as hard: roller shells, pump cases, pin rollers and feed plates, in high-chrome iron or alloy steel. The choice is made on the impact the part sees — high-chrome where the load is sliding abrasion, alloy or manganese where there are impacts and the part must deform rather than crack. Because these are usually the parts that stop a plant, they are worth holding as spares against the drawing rather than casting after the failure.
