Double-Suction Pumps

Horizontal split-case pumps with a double-suction impeller: the casing parts on the centre line and the rotor lifts out without touching the pipework. 108–6,480 m³/h at heads to 140 m. Images are representative renderings of each series; finish, accessories and nameplate follow the confirmed drawing.

The casing is split on the horizontal centre line, so the rotor lifts out for inspection without disturbing the suction or discharge pipework. Opposed impeller eyes balance axial thrust, which is why the series runs at high flow without a thrust-balancing device. Used on waterworks supply, pump-station boosting, cooling-water circulation, power-station circulating water and irrigation pumping. Model designation is bore plus head code (150S78 … 800S22); the final model is selected against the duty point and the printed curve, and the drive is quoted with the set.
