High-Temperature Sulphuric Acid Pump (LSD)

Industrial valves and fittings dispatch fast — wear parts and complete machines quoted on request.

Process & Chemical Pumps

Process pumps for wet phosphoric acid, sulphuric acid and corrosive transfer duty: mixed flow circulation, double suction chemical duty and vertical submerged acid service. Images are representative renderings of each series; finish, accessories and nameplate follow the confirmed drawing.

Vertical long-shaft submerged pump for circulating sulphuric acid in the drying and absorption circuits of a sulphuric acid plant. The hydraulic end sits in the acid sump while the motor stays above the deck, so no shaft seal is exposed to the acid and no suction line has to be primed. The temperature limit follows the acid strength: below 110 °C for 98% H₂SO₄ and below 80 °C for 93% H₂SO₄ — above that the corrosion rate on the wetted alloy climbs steeply, so the concentration and temperature pair must be stated before the material is fixed. Flow 10–1,400 m³/h, head 15–50 m; model designation reads diameter + head, for example 250-38. Running characteristics are stable across the flow range with high efficiency and long service life.

The concentration-and-temperature pair decides the material

This pump circulates sulphuric acid in the drying and absorption circuits. The published limit follows the acid strength: below 110 °C for 98% H₂SO₄ and below 80 °C for 93% H₂SO₄. Above those pairs the corrosion rate on the wetted alloy climbs steeply, so the concentration and the temperature have to be stated together — a temperature alone does not define the duty.

The hydraulic end runs submerged with the motor above the deck: no shaft seal is exposed to the acid and no suction line has to be primed.

Range and the two circuits

Flow 10–1,400 m³/h, head 15–50 m. The drying circuit and the absorption circuit run at different acid strengths, so the same plant can need two different material selections on two pumps that look identical.

Model designation reads diameter and head, for example 250-38.
