The globe valve is the one you reach for when the line has to be throttled, not just opened or shut: the plug moves perpendicular to the seat, so flow control is progressive and the seat takes far less erosion than a gate at part-open. The Y-pattern body keeps the flow path straighter than a T-pattern, which lowers pressure drop on high-pressure small-bore lines. Forged A105 body, bolted bonnet, rising stem. Threaded, socket-weld and butt-weld ends.
