The hard-sealed ball valve is what you fit when the medium is above what PTFE can take: superheated steam, hot oil, molten salt, polycrystalline silicon. The seat is metal on metal rather than polymer, so it survives temperatures to 650 °C and abrasive service, and the ball turns a quarter turn for fast shutoff. Fire-safe and anti-static by design, with a blow-out proof stem. The extension neck in this build keeps the stem seal away from the hot body — the same idea as a cryogenic long neck, applied to heat. Bodies in WCB, CF8, CF8M, CF3M, titanium or Hastelloy C276; pneumatic, electric or manual operation.
