Plug Valves

Plug valves for on-off isolation where a gate valve would pack solids: a quarter turn takes the tapered plug from open to shut, and the seat can be re-greased or the gland re-tightened in line. Standard, soft-seated, lifting metal-seal and pressure-balanced builds, NPS 1/2 to 48 at Class 150 to 2500, to API 599 / API 6D. Lifting plug valve for abrasive and high-pressure service. A quarter turn first lifts the plug clear of the seat and then rotates it, so the sealing faces do not slide against each other and the seat survives dirty media far longer than a plain taper plug. Used on slurries, catalyst lines and high-pressure gas. Body in carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex or nickel-base alloy; threaded, socket weld, flanged or butt weld ends.
